SWELLTITE® Composite Bentonite Waterproofing System
Our Advanced Waterproofing System
SWELLTITE waterproofing system is a proven waterproofing solution for blocking water with over 50 million square feet installed across the planet over the last 20 years.
It's a waterproofing leader worldwide.

Superior waterproofing technology
For below-grade vertical and horizontal structural foundation surfaces as well as above grade split-slab construction, the SWELLTITE® waterproofing system provides waterproofing protection for any structural below-grade surfaces such as:
- Split-slab deck construction
- Cut-and-cover tunnels
- Back-filled walls
- CMU foundation walls
- Earth-covered structures
What’s more, SWELLTITE can be installed for split-slab applications, including:
- Mechanical rooms
- Kitchens
- Laboratory facilities
Whether a structure is under continuous or intermittent hydrostatic pressure, SWELLTITE is a proven and reliable barrier against water. Bonding an active bentonite layer between tough, puncture-resistant geomembrane layers, SWELLTITE combines both passive and active barriers to substantially reduce the possibility for leaks. Its traditional passive barrier blocks water, while its core’s active volcanic bentonite compound absorbs up to 15x its volume in water—it expands to seal cracks using the very pressure of the water itself to fill and block any gaps caused by ground settlement, concrete shrinkage, or seismic action.
Easy installation saves you money
Featuring exceptional flexibility for maximum conformability when fitting to a structure, SWELLTITE can be installed directly to green concrete and placed as soon as forms are removed—no need to wait for the concrete to cure. Easy on your budget, SWELLTITE is ready for use and requires no set-up, saving you money in time and installation. Whether for new construction or retrofit waterproofing projects, SWELLTITE is easy to install, even in cold weather temperatures as low as 0⁰F. Simply remove the clear release film from the back of the geomembrane and then position SWELLTITE over the prepared surface and seal and secure as required.
Durable and self-sealing
SWELLTITE is extremely durable and self-sealing—there’s no worries about the inevitable small cuts and punctures that always occur on construction sites.
How it does it
SWELLTITE features a virtually zero VOC waterproofing membrane composite. It’s comprised of a thick layer of sodium bentonite compound that’s bonded between a tough geomembrane liner and a clear poly siliconized release liner.

WATERSTOP-XP
Featuring XP technology, WATERSTOP-XP is proven effective in a wide range of environments including high-saline conditions. Effective for both horizontal and vertical joints, it expands upon contact with water to form a positive seal to stop water ingress through cast-in-place concrete construction joints and around pipe penetrations.
