The Minscan®-M maintenance system is designed to repair refractory lining in different areas of EAFs. The gunning head can perform continuous 360° rotations and simultaneous vertical movements from the furnace center along the banks to the upper edge of the furnace’s water-cooling panels.
This execution is upgradable and features a remote control for operation. In addition, operators can pre-set up to 20 zones in the EAF which are gunned in parametrized patterns.
Spraying is executed semi-automatically based on operators’ visual analysis.
