PFAS

Innovative Solutions for PFAS Treatment in Soil and Water

Join us in exploring FLUORO-SORB® Adsorbent's wide-variety of environmental applications for the treatment and remediation of PFAS.

This free three-part webinar series will summarize the versatility of surface-modified clay and its use as an effective and economical adsorbent for PFAS treatment in soil and water. University research verifying the effectiveness, as well as results from treatability studies, pilot tests, and full-scale systems will be presented in detail.

SESSION 1: On Demand Now!

In this session, we provided you with an introduction and university research showing media effectiveness. Topics included:

  • Role of adsorptive media for PFAS treatment and remediation.
  • What is surface-modified clay?
  • Laboratory studies showing PFAS adsorption performance – kinetic studies, adsorption isotherms, column studies.

SESSION 2: NOV 18 / 10AM EST

Session Two will focus on flow-through treatment systems for PFAS contaminated water and testing with rapid small-scall column tests (RSSCTs); featuring guest speaker, Scott Grieco, PhD, PE, Global Technology Leader, Jacobs. Topics will include:

  • Deployment in flow-through systems – treatment of PFAS contamination in groundwater, drinking water, and wastewater.
  • Introduction to rapid small-scale column tests (RSSCTs)
  • RSSCT results for treatment of PFAS in landfill leachate
  • RSSCT results for treatment of PFAS in drinking water and comparison to pilot column studies

SESSION 3: DEC 9 / 10AM EST

Session Three explores the stabilization of PFAS in contaminated soil. Topics will include:

  • Introduction to using surface-modified clay for stabilization of PFAS in contaminated soil
  • Laboratory treatability studies showing reduced PFAS leaching from contaminated soil
  • Full-scale application of FLUORO-SORB® adsorbent for soil stabilization at a military installation
