All Minerals Technologies, employees are responsible for understanding the environmental, health, and safety implications of their jobs. MTI management is responsible for providing the necessary resources and training to enable employees to conduct their activities in compliance with all applicable requirements and in a manner that protects the environment, health and safety of employees, customers, and communities in which we operate.
MTI has implemented a number of programs designed to accomplish the goals set out in the company EHS policy. We are implementing an ISO 14001-based environmental management system at all manufacturing operations. We have developed a set of design and operating standards applicable to all MTI facilities, worldwide. These international standards meet or exceed U.S. environmental and health/safety requirements. All MTI facilities must meet these company standards as well as all local regulations. EHS staff conduct environmental, health, and safety audits periodically at all plants to ensure compliance with regulations and standards, as well as with programs for continuous improvement. These efforts result in environmental, health, and safety improvement for our customers and the community at large.
