MTI seeks skills in the following areas to join our Process Controls department, servicing the operations aspect of the business.  On our journey towards a Lean Manufacturing environment, this position will work with several components of existing systems/software as well as newly implemented systems, in order to optimize plant process control.

TARGET RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and maintain applications to control manufacturing processes using Siemens PCS7 systems. The successful candidate will have demonstrated skills with Siemens PCS7 Process Control system.

PROCESS CONTROL DUTIES

• Responsible for Siemens PCS7 process control systems, support, application development, and projects.
• Responsible for the integration and maintenance of the OSI PI data historian with the Siemens PCS7 process control systems. 
• Provide input during P&ID and electrical package development.
• Produce the control logic to operate chemical manufacturing plants.
• Travel to international locations to install and startup the control system.
• Manage the equipment checkout and punch list items relating to instrumentation and controls.
• Create deliverable Control System documentation.
• Provide "as built" updates to P&ID’s, wiring, and network drawings based on changes made at startup.
• Support existing plants by identifying problems and implementing solutions.

REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES

• Experience (2 years min) with Siemens PCS7 control systems
• Experience with OSI PI data collection is a plus.
• Experience with chemical manufacturing processes.
• Experience within Asia (including speaking 1 or more Asian languages)
• Experience with technical documentation of software standards and specifications.
• Understanding of inter-application communication.

• Innate problem solving ability
• 4 year college degree preferably in a field related to Engineering.

*This position has the option of two locations:

U.S. Based - with travel domestic/international, including to Asian countries\
Asian Based  - with travel, including a one year training program within the US upon hire
