Specialty Minerals Inc., an international, research-based, mining, minerals, and chemical company, has openings for two (2) Operator Technicians and for one (1) Maintenance Technician at its new plant currently under construction in Superior, Wisconsin. The plant manufactures a raw material used in the paper making process.
 
Operator Technicians
Responsibilities include day to day management, operation/control of a computerized process & performing various quality controls, testing, and maintenance support to the facility. Strong PC skills are required.
 
Qualifications include solid education in computer based process control or related field and/or several yrs experience with computer- based process control equipment & processes.  Strong background in mechanical, electrical or instrumentation is a plus.   Background in continuous flow process, manufacturing, chemical, batch control is preferred.  Plant is a continuous operation, rotating shifts/wkds/holidays/on-call.

Maintenance Technician
Responsibilities include trouble-shooting, repairs/maintenance for the entire plant/equipment.  Strong PC skills are a plus.
 
Qualifications include experience with computer based process control or related field and/or several years experience with like equipment.  A strong background in electrical, mechanical, and/or instrument maintenance. Plant is a continuous operation; rotating shifts.
